We are a family run operation located in North Central Illinois in the heart of the cornbelt. Our main crop is corn which makes up about two-third of our acreage. The rest of our acres consist of soybeans, oats, and hay and we also raise dairy and meat goats as well. We farm across an area wide enough so all of our ground is different and because of this we have a line of equipment with which we can do everything from no-tilling to moldboard plowing. Precision farming technologies such as autosteer and swath control to save fuel and inputs. Because of these systems we have been able to run a more efficient operation. So please take some time to go through our site, we are glad to have you here!

Some fields which are of a certain soil type require us to leave as much residue on the surface as possible. As you can see in this picture above the corn stocks from last fall are even left standing. This keeps the soil from washing away and causing problem elsewhere. Since no heavy tillage is required there are not as many rocks to pick up either!
Because of today's corn hybrids there is alot more trash to deal with than there used to be. This is why we have to moldboard plow our ground which is in continuous corn. The ground we plow is of a certain soil type that does not wash so there is no fear of sending extra soil to the neighbors. We have found this to be the best practice to the the most yield out of continuous corn.
Besides these two main types of practices above we can also do everything in between!
